FLEXCUT PALM CARVING TOOLS These amazing carving tools can temporarily bend or flex without breaking to get into deep difficult carving areas, such as curves in the bottom of a bowl & then spring back to their original nearly straight shape. The ability to alter the tool from straight to bent shape is especially handy for relief carving. The secret to the Flexcut tool’s incredible ability to flex or bend without breaking is, extra thin, specially treated, dual tempered spring steel that gives under pressure, yet has an incredible stay - sharp blade hardness of Rc 60-61. For improved maneuverability in tight areas, tool shapes are designed slightly flared back from cutting edge, similar to a modified fishtail shape for maximum pivot. Designed specifically for the incomparable control that only hand pushing can provide, blades are pre-sharpened to a razor sharp edge at a much lower angle then other tools to slice through wood effortlessly.
